Dark Blue Moon Phase Doormat

Dark Blue Moon Phase Doormat

Add a touch of lunar magic to your doorstep with this Dark Blue Moon Phase Doormat. Featuring the elegant phases of the moon printed across a deep, dark blue background, this celestial coir doormat offers a starry, atmospheric welcome to guests all year round. It’s the perfect entrance piece for stargazers, moon-lovers, and anyone who wants to bring a little night-sky magic to their home.

Crafted from 100% natural coconut husk coir fibres, this heavy-duty doormat provides excellent scraping performance. The dense, coarse bristles work hard to trap garden dirt, mud, and grit from outdoor footwear before it ever reaches your clean hallway floors or carpets. The deep blue lunar design is printed onto the natural coir base, creating a moody, celestial entrance aesthetic that stands out day and night.

To ensure stability on smooth floors, the mat is finished with a robust, non-slip vinyl backing that keeps it firmly anchored on hardwood, laminate, tile, or lino floors without shifting or bunching underfoot. Measuring a standard 60cm x 40cm, it fits seamlessly across standard interior and exterior doorways, porches, utility rooms, and conservatories. Practical and full of celestial charm, this doormat makes a lovely housewarming gift for anyone drawn to the moon and stars.

Questions and Answers (QandA)

• Q: Can this doormat be placed fully outdoors in the rain?

A: While natural coir is naturally hardy and moisture-absorbent, it performs best in indoor or sheltered outdoor locations (such as a covered porch, hallway, or entryway). Direct, prolonged exposure to heavy rain and standing water can saturate the fibres and cause premature fading of the lunar print.

• Q: How do I clean and maintain the mat?

A: Cleaning is easy. Lift the mat and give it a firm shake outdoors to dislodge collected dirt and dried mud, then sweep across the pile with a stiff-bristled hand brush or vacuum using the brush attachment for a deeper clean. Avoid washing with water or harsh chemical detergents.

• Q: Does the mat shed its bristles?

A: As with all authentic natural coir products made from real coconut husks, a small amount of initial fibre shedding is completely normal during the first few weeks of use. Regular shaking helps the shedding subside naturally without affecting the mat’s durability or performance.

• Q: Will this doormat slip on smooth laminate or tiled flooring?

A: No. The underside features a heavy-duty, slip-resistant PVC backing that grips smooth floor surfaces, keeping the mat securely in place as guests walk over it.

• Q: What is the size of the mat, and will it fit my front door?

A: The mat measures 60cm x 40cm (approximately 24″ x 16″) with a low-profile thickness of around 1.5cm, making it an ideal proportion for standard UK domestic doorways and hallway entrances without obstructing door clearance.
